DAVID LEFKOWICH    Artistic Consultant

David is a working stage director, choreographer and fight director with companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Minnesota Opera, and Mill City Summer Opera.

 

NOAH EISENBERG
Producer

Noah has been an active supporter of the performing arts, serving on the boards of the Mill City Summer Opera, Weisman Art Museum, Children’s Theater and Illusion Theater. Noah became involved with the Mill City Summer Opera when he heard strains of its first production floating out of the Mill Ruins Courtyard one evening while he was walking along the Minneapolis riverfront. He was immediately hooked by the experience of hearing opera in this unconventional setting. Noah sees Out Of The Box as a vehicle for bringing opera to other new spaces and places throughout the Twin Cities. 

JIM BERMAN
Producer

Jim has been a life-long opera fan and formerly served on the New Projects Committee of the Mill City Summer Opera. Jim came to opera in a non-traditional way, having little experience with or even interest in classical music; he was simply knocked out by the passion and beauty of operatic singing the first time he heard it. Jim believes a person doesn’t need to like full blown opera in order to enjoy operatic singing. And he hopes Out Of The Box, through its innovative programming, can introduce non-traditional listeners to this rich and wonderful body of vocal music.

ALEX LEGEROS
Consultant

Alex is one of the youngest leaders within Minnesota's arts sector known for his integration of art, technology, and philosophy. He has over a decade of experience serving on nonprofit boards including MacPhail Center for Music, White Bear Center for the Arts, and Mill City Summer Opera, and received his Masters in Arts and Cultural Leadership from the University of Minnesota in May 2016. What attracts Alex to Out of the Box is its orientation to the future, engaging a Millennial audience (his peers), and its exploratory programming focused on putting the fun back in Opera.
